Beth Hart is a Los Angeles native and blues-singing, rock vocalist. She performed on the streets and made her debut with Immortal in 1995. Her raw, outspoken personality, musicianship and emotion-filled live performances have attracted the attention of fans. Chuck Taylor wrote that Hart was "the ideal model for natural females" in the October 2nd, 1999 issue of Billboard magazine. She's "bawdy and funny, chatty, and free-wheeling with her choice to spiced words. That's not her real talent. She's an elegant, tall singer/songwriter who struts and squalls songs with the vigor and enthusiasm like Mick Jagger . Other times she's seated on the piano or at the in the center of the stage with no appearance of pretense. The legs of her are crossed over the edge of the chair, and she sings in a soft, aching voice. Hart had similar reactions to the moment she began taking to the stage at amateur contests as an teen. But, Hart had doubts about the business of music when it finally became an instant success. Hart was forced to leave her band after she had a disappointing tour around all over the world. Hart then spent nearly four years soul-searching and resolving issues with music through writing. In the end, eager to give her career a second chance she resurfaced in 1999 with the highly acclaimed Screamin' for My Supper, an album that allowed Hart to develop her songwriting skills with honest, vulnerable songs about dealing with life's challenges.
