Her personal highlights thus far including getting hand-picked by Snoop Dogg to accompany him on stage during the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee has kept up an unstoppable songwriting schedule despite the whirlwind of the past few years. A producer magnet Niykee is constantly looking through the many beats that are being sent to her. She has found that the majority are a source of new music ideas. "I'll be able to tell within 5 seconds if it's a good beat. When I've got an idea in my head and I begin to write immediately." I sit on my back porch with my guitar, and then the lyrics just come and usually it's all done in under thirty minutes. As she continues develop as a musician, Niykee says that her pain from the past serves as an endless source of sources of inspiration. It's hard to avoid memories that are painful from my youth, especially the loss of my sister. These memories are integrated into her music. The resulting music is shaped by my experiences and adds a greater sense of meaning that I believe is extremely important. I want to be able to hear my music 20 years from now and still feel proud about what I have to say.
