Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and animal rights activist. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most acclaimed films. New York was her home and she was brought up in an artistic environment. She began as a photo assistant and then moved on to acting and modeling. MacGraw was awarded her Golden Globe Award, for the most promising young talent. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major success and earned her international fame and an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office actress in the world after only three releases. In 1972 her hand-footprints and autograph were engraved at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
